I haven’t known Johnny and Jayden that long, but really enjoyed getting to talk with them during their downtown engagement session. Johnny is originally from California and moved to Wichita with his family in 2019. He now works in construction with his dad’s company. Jayden grew up right here in Wichita and now works for a school with several kids in foster care. I actually met Johnny and Jayden first at the Wichita Bridal Expo in January. It was immediately clear even then how much love they had for each other and their family. That only became more evident as I talked with them throughout their session.
The week of their session, we had a crazy snowfall. At first we were a little worried we wouldn’t be able to make it happen, but I’m so glad we did! We lucked out and were able to have snow on the ground even though it had started to melt. We had originally planned on taking photos at The Keeper of the Plains, but due to ice and snow the bridges to the island were closed and we had to improvise. Johnny and Jayden were such good sports even though it was freezing cold and our plans had to change.
These two got engaged over Christmas and will be celebrating with their family and friends in July. I can’t wait to celebrate with them on a day I’m positive will be filled with joy and love for everyone there!! Take a look through the beautiful moments we captured and let me know if you have a favorite!
