I believe that choosing a photographer is about more than just hiring someone with a camera to take pictures of you. Your photographer should be someone you are comfortable with, who celebrates you, supports you, and documents your story in a natural, bright, and cheerful way that you love all while making you feel confident and valued.
Growing up, photography was always a favorite hobby of mine. I actually started taking photos when I was young. I even remember following my dog Sandy around and using her as my first subject.
I'm a hopeless romantic that loves all things sweet and sentimental. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and best friend, Brock. Our first official date was to my senior prom. Shortly after starting to date, I left for college at Kansas State University (EMAW!!) and he stayed in Wichita. We got married in Wichita after four years, and now have four munchkins to wrangle.
Besides being a wife and mom, 'm a Jesus-lover who loves new experiences and living simply. I love snuggling on the couch with my dogs and reading a good book or watching a fun show. Most of the time you can find me at home or acting as chauffeur for my four kiddos. I drink WAY too much coffee, sing along to whatever music is playing and dance around the house, try to sneak in new house plants without Brock noticing ;), and dream up vacations while watching Hallmark love stories and Youtube shows about RV living.
I actually taught high school and coached cheerleading in Andover for several years before staying home with our kids and pursuing photography full time. I loved my own high school experience and teaching/coaching high schoolers which is probably why senior photography holds a special place in my heart. Weddings became an obvious passion as I also spent several years planning and organizing prom. I'm a hopeless romantic that loves beautiful settings with sentimental touches and creating a fun, memorable experience.
Brock graduated from Wichita State University in business management. After a few years, he realized that he really loves working with kids and went back to school to be an elementary teacher. He's taught multiple grades over the years, but now has his dream job of teaching P.E.
He also runs his own lawn care company in Wichita. He loves straight lines, fresh cut grass, and could watch sprinklers run for hours. As my photography business started to grow, he became really interested in how to take photos and began tagging along with me. Now he's fantastic and the best second shooter I could ask for!
