Let me start by saying, these two are the absolute sweetest! Morgan and I have had so much fun going back and forth planning for and talking about their engagement session and it turned out AMAZING!! We took advantage of the beautiful spring blooms and headed to Botanica in Wichita, Kansas for our first stop. Kansas weather and wind has a mind of it’s own, but we lucked out with a small breeze and beautiful skies!! It was so much to walk through the gardens getting to know each other and creating beautiful images. We loved it so much, we ended up staying past close until the garden staff told us it was time to leave 🙂
After spending most of our time at Botanica, we headed over to a local park for the rest of the session. I love the fairytale feel of the location and the whimsical bridge that looks like the perfect storybook setting! I loved the Mrs. jacket Morgan chose to include with her checkered shoes! It was the perfect look for a casual walk in the park!
During our session, I had the chance to get to know Joey and Morgan a little better. One unique thing about this couple that resonates with me is that they met young and spent a lot of their dating relationship apart due to school and Joey’s time in the Army. They mentioned that they felt their relationship strengthen through letters and calls with each other even though they were apart. It reminded me so much of the time Brock and I spent apart while dating as well. We’ve always said that time was hard, but we are extremely grateful for how it taught us to communicate and talk with each other. I loved hearing Joey and Morgan’s story because it reminds me so much of my own!! I can’t wait to celebrate with these two this fall! Stay tuned for their beautiful wedding at The Atreeum in Valley Center, Kansas. There may even be some Harry Potter fun included 😉
Thanks for reading!
