After rescheduling our session due to rain already, we decided to just go for it this time and hope for the best. With an overcast sky and the threat of rain at any time, we managed to still capture some great moments. Even though it started raining in the first twenty minutes, Katelyn and Erik were great a going with the flow as we ducked under the bridge for cover and had fun laughing and getting creative. Thankfully the rain didn’t last long and we were able to finish our session with lots more laughs and locations.
Katelyn is from El Dorado, KS and Erik is from California. However, both live in Emporia now. Katelyn, who is more outgoing, mentioned to a mutual coworker that the overnight guy (Erik) seemed really nice. Her coworker happened to be best friends with Erik and set the two up. Before the pandemic, they loved going to the zoo or visiting aquariums together.
Although Katelyn thought Erik would propose while on a Disney vacation with her family, he actually proposed early in the morning after returning from a month-long family trip to Mexico. The two will celebrate their wedding this October.
