With all the rain around here lately, I was worried we’d have to move this session. Thankfully though, we managed to squeeze in a beautiful session under a cloudy, but bright sky. Kylie and Joe asked if I’d consider coming out to Joe’s family farm for the engagement session, and of course the answer was an easy “YES!” I love when my couples want to include something personal or special to them in their session. Not only was this session at Joe’s family home, but it was also the place they first met.
In March 2016, Joe was having a party at his parents’ house. Kylie came to the party with a mutual friend of theirs. After enjoying a night of hanging out, dancing, and fun, the two quickly started messaging on Facebook. In 2018, Joe was planning to propose in a field of sunflowers, but the weather had other plans. Unfortunately, a large storm came through and ruined the sunflower field and his plans. While disappointing, this didn’t keep Joe from the most important thing… asking Kylie to marry him. On a lazy Sunday evening, Joe went to let the dogs out and called for Kylie to come out. On her way, Kylie walked into the back room of the house to find Joe on one knee with a ring.
Kylie and Joe currently live in Goessel, KS where Kylie works as a bank teller supervisor and Joe is a test technician for a large machine manufacturing company. They will be married in October, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them!
