I’ve known Kenzie for quite awhile now, but recently have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Zach as well. Before pursuing photography professionally, I was a high school teacher. Kenzie grew up here in Wichita, KS and I had the privilege of teaching her. I even remember Kenzie hanging out in my classroom with her friends as a freshman. It was easy to tell that she had such a sweet and bubbly personality. We definitely laughed a lot during her time in my classroom!!
In January of 2019, Kenzie was in Lexington, KY visiting her parents (who were living there at the time). The night she was in town, Kenzie and Zach “matched” online. For the next few months, the two kept up conversations online and through texts and FaceTime calls. Eventually Kenzie moved to Lexington and the two officially started dating. On January 9, 2021 while out to celebrate Kenzie’s birthday, Zach proposed at Thoroughbred Park in downtown Lexington. He even had his cousin and his girlfriend there to video and take photos of the whole thing! Just a few short weeks after getting engaged, Kenzie and Zach moved to Wichita to start working for Wesley Medical Center. Kenzie is critical care nurse in the Medical ICU and Zach is a Medicaid Eligibility Advocate and helps patients with insurance and Medicaid. As if moving, starting new jobs, and planning a wedding isn’t enough… the two are also building a house!
We decided to head downtown to explore and take some engagement photos, but after a short five minutes it began to rain! Kenzie and Zach stayed positive and we decided to embrace the rain and keep going. By the end of the night, our hair might have been frizzy and I may have wiped out while crossing the street, but we managed to capture some beautiful moments!! Take a look at the fun we had and check out just how many times I caught these two cracking each other up. I have no doubt their marriage will be full of laughter and lots of love!!!
