Oh my goodness! Where do I start with this session? Jackie and Keith saw a previous session I had done and immediately asked if we could do their engagement session at the same location. They wanted beautiful flowers and springtime look. We quickly arranged a date for fear we might miss the bloom time for the flowers. As we walked through Botanica, we realized the main field of flowers they had seen had been replanted. Jackie and Keith were so trusting and willing to go with my suggestions that we were able to make their springtime session dream come true without a large field of tulips. We got some beautiful shots throughout Botanica and ended the evening down by the Riverwalk. By the end of the session, my hair was frizzy and all over from the Kansas humidity and wind, but it was well worth it!!
Jackie and Keith met online back in March 2019 and had their first date at Uncle Jack’s in Independence, KS. Jackie is originally from Neodesha, KS and Keith is from Neveda, MO. Right before COVID hit, they decided they didn’t want to be separated and made the decision to be together in Jackie’s one-bedroom apartment. Both work as school psychologists for different schools/interlocals and were even working remotely during the year of 2020. They knew if they could make it through that, they could make forever.
In March of 2021, Keith sent Jackie out of the house shopping with her mom. By the time she returned, he had sticky notes leading from the door to where he was standing with Jaleigh, their mini Australian Shepherd, who held a sign that ready, “Will you marry Sir?” Keith even had prepared Jackie’s mom to take pictures and recorded the whole thing. Jackie and Keith will be getting married next February in 2022.
